So I was fucking with Ableton last night, and I tried to cue up a bunch of samples. I saw levels on each track (not on the master track), but I didn't hear any sound. Everything seems to be configured properly, and the test tone worked, but there was no level out of the master and no sound. I should mention that I recently installed Leopard onto my laptop and it's been giving me some weird display problems (because it was a disc for a Mac Pro, not a MacBook Pro), could this be the cause of it? Just strange that Ableton is the only sound-emitting program on that whole computer that's reacting funny, everything else (like iTunes, etc.) on that machine runs smoothly.
If my botched install is the problem, would a downgrade to Tiger work or do I need to reformat the whole thing?
